Catalog description

In this course the student acquires the knowledge directed to the production of quality goods and services. The meaning and benefits of quality, cost, and troubleshooting using tools for continuous improvement. Topics include the description of quality philosophies. Quality principles, commitment to continuous improvement, customer focus and paradigm shift, understanding of process variation and worker participation. On the other hand, it describes the quality tools that provide the basis for the examination of processes and systems and data -based decision making to improve work processes and systems. Students will develop competencies in innovation and design that are required for professionals in this field.
