Catalog description

Study of the main topic related to injury prevention and first aid and in swimming. In it, emphasis will be given to the following concepts: basic knowledge of first aid, types of injuries, causes or most common factors that produce an injury, acute injury, chronic injury and sports injury. Know the difference between acute, chronic and sports injuries. Know the RICE concept, application of cold and heat in injuries and how different types of injuries can be prevented. Know the most common first aid, cardio respiratory (CPR) and neuromuscular condition. Contextualization of issues related to first aid. Emphasis on development of knowledge, skills through the analysis of injuries and first aid, which allow the student to evaluate and purpose solutions to them basic on scientific knowledge. In addition, the development of skills related to research, new technologies for injury prevention and first aid is facilitated.
