Catalog description

Study of animal behavior and basic techniques to train canines. Some personality types and positive or negative behaviors of canines will be identified and how to work with them. In addition, the equipment needed for training is discussed, as well as the appropriate time and duration for training. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking and communication skills and competencies that allow the student to use the effective techniques, tools and equipment necessary in the canine training process. These competencies are developed through lectures, demonstrations and practical laboratory exercises. In addition, the development of ethics and diversity competencies is facilitated.
