Catalog description

Study of the main topics related to scientific research in sports and personal training: design, research proposal and problem, hypothesis, data collection, population, sample, literature review, experimental research, quasi- experimental, correlate, surveys, qualitative and quantitative. Contextualization of the issues using Puerto Rico as the main setting, while at the same time considering their global aspect. Emphasis on the development of knowledge, skills and abilit ies of critical thinking, through the analysis of current research problems in sports and personal training, which allow the student to evaluate and propose solutions to them based on knowledge in quantitative reasoning, communication, ethics and diversity . In addition, the development of competencies related to scientific research and new technologies related to the innovation of sports and personal training is facilitated.
