ANIMAL ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY (CANINE AND FELINE)

Catalog description
This course introduces the basic principles of canine and feline anatomy and physiology. The student will learn the anatomical and physiological structure of the animal organism. The different types of tissues, fluids, and body cavities of the circulatory system are discussed. In addition, it includes the skeletal, nervous, digestive, lymphatic, reproductive, and urinary systems of ca nines and felines. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking skills, abilities and competencies that allow the student to offer an adequate service by recognizing the anatomy of each pet. These competences will be developed through confer ences and the search of information through the use of technological means.
