Catalog description

The student is exposed to the basic knowledge and skills of medication management. The concepts of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are discussed. Different measurement systems such as the metric, apothecary and domestic system where the student must use critical thinking and quantitative reasoning when calculating different doses according the stage of growth and development are also discussed. The course includes two (2) class hours per week and two (2) hours of skill lab per week. Pre- requisites: MAGS 12
