Catalog description
This course focuses on the theoretical concepts to use the future care provider when intervening with the basic needs of women and the family, before, during and after pregnancy. Factors affecting maternal and newborn well-being and interprofessional collaboration, in primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings are a lso discussed. Critical thinking is used to implement the nursing process. In clinical practice, holistic nursing care focuses on evidence base practice, and safety and quality improvement principles, considering clients’ cultural diversity.
