Catalog description

Research work with the main goal of developing the Montessori Curriculum Project. To achieve this goal, the following stages will be undertaken: project planning, literature review, development of a curriculum map, materials development, curriculum development in the student's specialization area, integration of cross disciplines themes, and application of placed-based pedagogy through the integration of two or more disciplines. The project will include one of the fi ve Montessori Great Lessons, which will be integrated into the student's discipline curriculum through the creation of an impressionistic lesson. Throughout the planning, design, and presentation process of this project, students will demonstrate competenc ies related to Critical Thinking, Information Literacy, Ethics and Diversity, Scientific Reasoning, Innovation, and Leadership. Additionally, students will be required to present their project to an expert panel.
