Catalog description
In this course, students will develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills to analyze fundamental vibration models of mechanical systems under unforced and forced conditions, which encompass many scenarios encountered in practice. Furthermore, the student will be presented with state-of-the-art vibration measurement equipment and methodologies which can be used, along with scientific reasoning, to design vibration isolators and suppressors for real world applications.
