Study of the roots, prefixes, and basic suffixes of essential terms used in the health allied sciences related to the main systems of the human body and the study of the different methods of evaluation used by health specialists. In addition, abbreviations, symbols, and signs used in patient records and medical prescriptions are studied. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking skills, information and eth ics skills, and diversity, through practical exercises for the identification of terms.
