Catalog description

This course studies the design and management of operations related to the production of goods and services. Concepts are discussed, as well as the application of tools and techniques to capacitate students in decision making at both strategic and tactical levels. From the strategic perspective, relevant topics such as productivity, project management, supply chain management, demand forecasting, lean operations, localization and facilities layout are discussed. While the tactical part includes topics such as quality control, capacity management, inventory management and short-term scheduling.
