Catalog description

This course will introduce students to advanced and contemporary trends in information systems. This course adopts a unique approach in which a particular emerging theme is highlighted each semester, reflecting the dynamic and constantly evolving nature of the management f ield. Throughout the course, the topics of machine learning, big data, advanced biometrics, blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity, edge computing, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, internet of things, virtual reality and advanced robotics are explored in depth. Students will not only gain an in -depth understanding of the underlying theories that inform current practices in the study of information systems, but will also develop practical and applicable skills in professional and academic contexts.
