FASHION CONCEPTS DEVELOPMENT I

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the fashion industry. Students will learn the principles of fashion design and the creative process for the development of a fashion collection focused on a local environment as inspiration. Fundamental elements such as vocabulary, categories, market, seasons, and silhouettes will be discussed. During the course, students will work on projects where they develop all the parts of a collection that includes, but is not limited to, trend research, mood board, color story and technical sheets. As a final project, the students will have to develop a collection for women.
