Catalog description

Three credit-hours. Three hours of lecture per week. This course covers additional theoretical and practical aspects in digital systems and sequential logic design. Topics include additional minimization techniques, synthesis techniques, asynchronous seque ntial logic, interfacing, programmable logic devices, design considerations for practical systems, high speed logic design, design for testability, implementation of logic circuits using MSI, LSI, CPLDs, FPGAs, VHDL, CAD tools, and digital test equipment. Students will have opportunities to enhance their technical competencies, improve their communication skills, and engage in the innovation process of designing logic circuits.
