COMMUNICATION METHODS OF THE CHILD WITH AUTISM

Presentation, discussion, and analysis of the main communication methods used in the intervention of the student with autism, as well as the recommended strategies to treat the communicative problems present in this population. Students will analyze different etiologies related to the communication of the child with autism spectrum disorder, (ASD). Theories that present different approaches to intervene appropriately with students with ASD will be studied. This course will also emphasize the recommended techniques to work effectively on the particular needs presented by each student. Consideration will also be given to the use of technological assistance to improve communication difficulties.
