Applied anatomy examines structure -function relationships in the context of related subjects such as diagnostic imaging, pathology and other aspects of veterinary medicine. This 5 credits course articulates on the foundations acquired in General and Compar ative Anatomy courses. Lecture portion of this course focuses on applied gross morphological and topographical study of various organs of digestive, respiratory, urinary, male and female reproductive, lymphatic and endocrine systems in domestic species. Palpable anatomical body structures or their landmarks in their use in health and disease is emphasized. Laboratory part of this course focus on hand -on demonstration and description of pal pable anatomical structures on the body surface of live animals (head, neck, thorax, abdomen, limbs) in relation to specific medical or surgical procedures.
