VETERINARY GENERAL GROSS ANATOMY

Catalog description

This course focuses on the gross anatomy of small animals (dog and cat). Laboratories utilize embalmed canine cadavers for dissections as well as prosecutions. The lectures provide fundamental anatomical knowledge of dog and cat. Topics covered in the first semester include osteology and muscle systems of the thoracic and pelvic limbs, thorax and thoracic viscera, abdomen and abdominal viscera, and autonomic nervous system.
