Catalog description

In this course students will be exposed to theorical and laboratory experiences that will allow them to know the procedures that are performed in different specialties of dentistry. Students will apply theoretical concepts to problem solving. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies of dental instrument management and clinical, preventive, and infection control techniques. These strategies are developed through the manipulation of materia ls used in these specialty areas and the post -operative instructions that must be given to the patient after a completed procedure. In addition, the development of ski lls of technological competences, communication, and information management is facilitated.
