SEXUAL COUNSEILING AND THERAPY

Catalog description

This course will present the student with the basic concepts of human sexual conduct. Specifically, with the history of human sexuality and the human sexual response. It will introduce the student to human sexual dysfunctions as stated in the DSM -5. Addit ionally, the student will be presented with basic sexual therapeutic interventions for such dysfunctions. The course will also introduce the student to sexual counseling of minority groups. More so, the student will be presented with basic thematic informa tion that will allow him to provide counseling and education in diverse areas of human sexuality.
