Catalog description

This course will present the student with the concepts of atypical human sexual behaviors. Discussion of the etiologies and treatment modalities of these atypical sexual conducts is studied in depth utilizing the DSM -5 for the study of paraphilia’s, and scientific studies for other atypical sexual behaviors. Emphasis is given to the etiology and therapeutic treatment and management of sexual offenders. The course is geared in exposing the student to the current literature regarding diagnosis and treatment with strong emphasis in the psychological and psychiatric views
