Catalog description

Three hours of lecture per week. This is an introductory course in embedded systems. The course is project oriented and emphasizes application issues, system specifications and modeling, system languages, synthesis, and verification. Also, prepares students in converting high -level language programs to assembly language and how they interact with the embedded system ha rdware. In addition, students must complete computer -based projects in the form of knowledge area tests and a comprehensive final exam. Stude nts will use critical thinking and good engineering judgment to analyze and evaluate information that enables them to solve problems that arise in the engineering profession.
