DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

Catalog description

Three credit-hours. Three hours of lecture per week. This course covers several topics in distributed systems. Topics include operating system architectures, network, distributed, and autonomous systems; design, concurrent programming, client/server models , synchronization, distributed process communication, time and resource scheduling, distributed/shared files and memory. In addition, this course will enable students to develop their analytical skills to devise scalable, distributed computing solutions th at can handle the complex tasks encountered in the modern IT industry.
