Introduction to the world of microorganisms, including the study of the basic characteristics of fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Particular attention is given to those microorganisms that are pathogenic in humans. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking skills through class discussions and laboratory work, in order to allow the student to describe the characteristics of microorganisms, their classification and pathogenicity. In addition, the development of information skills is facilitated.
