Catalog description

The course includes topics on the understanding of genomics and bioinformatics, such as macromolecular biosynthesis pathways, structure of genes, chromosomes and genomes in model organisms, mechanisms of DNA recombination and transgenic cloning, molecular analysis of gene expression and mu tant phenotypes, complex genetic interactions and communication between cells. In addition, bioethical issues related to scientific research and discovery are also discussed.
