Catalog description

The basic properties of cells, organelles and molecules that determine their structures and functions are discussed. Also examines the properties of the system of differentiated cells and tissues. Students are introduced to important issues related to cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics and biotechnology. During the course students will identify and analyze ethical problems related to research and the application of modern techniques in molecular and cellular biology. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
