PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF FLIGHT

Catalog description

Instruction in flight physiology, the decision -making process, pilot health maintenance, psychological aspects of flight, human behavior as related to the aircraft cockpit, and aeromedical information of significance to flight crews. Students in this course will learn how to adjust to the effects of disorientation, problems related to physical and mental stress associated with flight, and other contributors to the physical toll flight plays on the human body. The course will be conducted through demonstrations, lecture, case analysis, and responsible use of technology.
