Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with an in depth understanding of digital merchandising, fashion, retail, and consumer shopping behavior from a digital perspective. Materials that will be covered include digital, social, and mobile platforms as we explore the future of digital merchandising. Students will discuss the increasing role of e-commerce and how mobile technologies are shaping the consumer shopping experience and how to best utilize these tools to drive business success. Students will explore digital merchandising and how promotions and web layout design can affect consumer purchasing and decision-making processes. Students will also explore how trend forecasting, digital marketing and advertising campaigns affect the sale of products in the digital marketplace.
