Catalog description

This Digital Retail course provides an introduction to digital retail concepts and principles and explores real-world practices for engaging the customer in the shopping experience that empowers both the employee and the consumer. Students will be introduced to the evolution of retail markets from pre-industrial to modern times. Students will investigate the way retailers are using technology in both small and large organizations to create seamless transactions for an e-commerce or mobile platform, along with efficient supply chain and distribution methods. In addition, this course includes a discussion on the inherent risks of digital retail, including data fraud and safety protection.
