This labor relations course examines the historical evolution and current state of employment and labor law, as well as theories of employment relations. Students will explore the role of unions in America, collective bargaining, contract negotiations, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes. Additional topics include conflict management, leadership strategies, and the impact of laws such as the National Labor Relations Act on the employee/employer dynamic. Designed for HR professionals, this course provides practical knowledge of labor and employment relations, preparing students for roles in human resources management and labor relations.
