This IT project management course introduces the planning and processes involved in managing an information system project. Students learn essential project management skills by examining planning, scheduling, and controlling aspects throughout the project lifecycle. The course explores widely used project management techniques such as the Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), Gantt charts, and other tools for developing and maintaining a project plan. Emphasis is placed on methodologies that help manage projects effectively, guide project teams, and support positive outcomes. This course also aligns with the knowledge required to pursue the CompTIA Project+® certification, helping students strengthen their technical foundation and prepare for future career opportunities in technology management and leadership.
