Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies

This course delves into the strategies and policies aimed at mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the impact of climate change. Students will explore a range of climate change mitigation options, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and carbon capture and storage. Additionally, EVSP351 will cover adaptation strategies to address unavoidable climate effects, including infrastructure development, ecosystem-based adaptation, and community-based planning. Topics will also touch on the role of sustainable land management, emerging technologies, and the integration of climate policy and economics in supporting both adaptation and mitigation goals. (Prerequisite: EVSP350)
