This course is a study of intelligence collection and information gathering, emphasizing how the United States and foreign nations gather and process intelligence. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the role that intelligence collection plays in the broader intelligence community, how policies influence collection activities, and how different intelligence agencies monitor and collect information. The course explores major collection disciplines used across the national intelligence cycle, including human intelligence, signals intelligence, imagery intelligence, and open source intelligence, helping students understand how these capabilities support analysis and inform national decision-making.
