Catalog description

The Child Life Internship is designed to support students who are completing an internship as a part of the certification requirements for Child Life Specialist. This internship will expose students to relevant work practices in their area of study. Students will complete their internship while participating in weekly online discussions throughout the course. In addition, students will be expected to complete a work journal, keep accurate time records, and evaluate their internship experience. The course will integrate industry competencies throughout the course and encourage students to apply the skills they learn. Note: Students are required to secure their own internship, because the University does not assist in placement. This course is designed for students needing a University affiliation for clinical placement.
