Advanced Business Project Schedule and Scope Management

Catalog description
This course provides an in-depth analysis of project schedule development and project scope management. Students examine the relationship between schedule and scope across the project life cycle while applying key project management processes. Topics include developing a project scope statement, creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and building a detailed project schedule. Students learn to identify task dependencies, allocate resources, calculate durations, and apply scheduling techniques such as network diagrams, Gantt charts, and the Critical Path Method (CPM). Tools for monitoring project progress and managing scope changes are explored, including earned value management and change control processes. Emphasis is placed on using project scheduling software, fostering collaboration among project team members, and applying schedule and scope management practices to deliver successful project outcomes.
