This course serves as an introduction to developing a commercial real estate portfolio. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and review terminology, concepts, and best practices in commercial real estate development. Topics will include the components and players involved in a commercial real estate transaction, the differences between residential and commercial real estate transactions, the various categories of commercial real estate, standard commercial contracts, basic commercial market analysis and marketing plans, and ethics in the commercial real estate industry.
