Catalog description

This course introduces biological concepts as they relate to social issues. Students will explore examples of the growing presence of biology in society, such as vaccines, biotechnology, animal testing, etc., and will investigate the use of the scientific method to develop thoughtful positions on problems and decisions confronting society.
