Leadership in Healthcare Organizations

Catalog description

This course presents organizational leadership strategies and tactics as they apply to the healthcare organizations. Leadership methods are explored with a focus on communications, delegation, perceptions of power, collaboration, oversight, mentoring, coaching, and tracking of performance, as well as session planning. Matrix management, ad-hoc teams and cross boundary controls are also considered.
