This course prepares special education professionals to understand and participate in comprehensive assessment processes that determine eligibility for special education services. Students learn how assessment and evaluation connect to eligibility determination while applying legal requirements and evidence-based practices to evaluate assessment procedures. The course covers the complete assessment process from screening through placement, emphasizing appropriate assessment protocol selection for different disability categories.
