Catalog description

This course equips educators to identify and address the spectrum of reading difficulties, including dyslexia. Educators gain skills to recognize signs of reading struggles, assess their impact, and utilize screening/diagnostic tools to pinpoint areas of need. They create targeted intervention plans, implement evidence-based instructional strategies, and apply continuous progress monitoring techniques. Through direct field experience, they document the effectiveness of a prescribed reading intervention to support struggling readers.
