Catalog description

This practicum is designed to bridge coursework and classroom application in meaningful, measurable ways. Under the guidance of a qualified mentor, candidates apply structured literacy methods grounded in the science of reading within an authentic K-12 classroom setting. Candidates implement evidence-based reading instruction, collect and analyze student literacy data, refine their instructional practice based on assessment outcomes, and complete other activities aligned to state standards and site needs.
