Courses taught in Spanish on such topics as: Latin American film, Mexican-U.S. border, urban cultures in Latin America, indigenous people of Latin America, Hispanics in the United States, Caribbean cultures, and the Latin American short story. Crosslist: SPAN-656. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Repeatable for credit with different topic. Prerequisite: SPAN-322, SPAN-353, or minimum score of 583 on the language placement exam.
