Ruling the World: Global and Comparative Governance (3) This course examines explanations for the major changes in political order and governance over time and across the globe. Topics include the rise and decline of empires and caliphates, the rise of and challenges to the nation-state and the state system, and the emergence of regional and global international organizations and institutions Usually Offered: fall and spring. Grading: A-F only. Prerequisite: SISU-105.
