Catalog description

Entertainment Marketing (3) This course provides an overall understanding of marketing concepts and applications as they pertain to the entertainment industry. Students critically explore marketing issues related to entertainment culture, especially the increasing merging of marketing and entertainment. Students apply marketing principles and theories across the many facets of the entertainment industry, with specific cases drawn from local organizations. Students improve research skills by studying consumers and marketers of entertainment; then make strategic marketing decisions and develop integrated marketing communications and media plans, including social media and digital channels. Prerequisite: KSB-213, MKTG-250, or MKTG-300.
