Power, Discourse, and Popular Culture FA2 (3) This course teaches students how to critically read popular texts and discourse. It examines cultural productions (e.g., novels, films, plays, television shows, social media, etc.) as well as a number of theoretical essays in order to investigate how different media forms impact systems of representation through which we understand power, identity, collectivity, and political agency.
