Catalog description
The U.S. nonprofit sector continues to grow in size, complexity, and importance. Lawyers serve a variety of roles within and for the nonprofit sector including acting as outside general counsel, managers/directors, founders, & board members. This course prepares law students to work effectively in a variety of capacities with and for tax-exempt nonprofits. The course follows the lifecycle of nonprofit organizations and utilizes skills-based drafting exercises to complement the doctrinal curriculum of LAW-852 Law of Non-Profit Organizations
