Catalog description

The fieldwork component of the clinic. Designed to appeal to a broad range of students, this clinic bridges criminal and civil law. The core purpose of the Re-Entry Clinic is to help persons convicted of crimes (including former prisoners) to overcome legal and other barriers related to their criminal records. The clinic may also engage on cases and projects relating to prisoners' rights. Although the precise docket for the clinic varies, possible matters may include expungements, requests to seal records, requests for pardons, matters relating to occupational license denials, and family law matters for previously incarcerated persons.
