Catalog description

This class will be organized around student presentations taking opposing positions on topics concerning FDA's regulation of the full range of products under its jurisdiction, including food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, biologics (including vaccines), animal drugs, and tobacco products. Grades will be based on the assigned presentations, student questioning of the presenters, and a final paper (which can be used to satisfy the Upper-Level Writing Requirement). All students are eligible for this class, whether or not they have already taken Food and Drug Law.
