Gender and the Law (3) This course studies gender and its relationship with the law, policies, and politics, including how gender is codified, criminalized, and protected within criminal, civil, and regulatory laws. The course includes an examination of how law and public policy has affected marginalized gender groups. Topics may include sexual assault and harassment, prostitution, family law, reproduction, and discrimination in myriad arenas such as LGBTQ status, sports, employment, and education.
