Strategies in Stress Management (3) The nature and causes of stress, its effect on the human body, and both cognitive behavioral approaches as well as relaxation techniques to control it. The course offers a holistic approach to stress management through a combination of lecture and skill-building activities. Methods include deep breathing, mental imagery, progressive muscular relaxation, muscle massage, art therapy, journal writing, value assessment and clarification, physical exercise, and meditation. Usually Offered: fall and spring.
