Art and Science of Wellbeing (4) The physiological, sociological, and psychological aspects of fitness and health are introduced. Emphasis is placed on developing self-responsibility for total wellness. Students participate in fitness activities and classroom instruction and discussions. In the laboratory component, students learn methods for measuring different aspects of health, such as blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and the stress response. Some activities involve health self-assessment aspects. AU Core Habits of Mind: Natural-Scientific Inquiry. Usually Offered: fall, spring, and summer.
